Postal Hawk Corp is a Delaware Corporation based in Dallas, TX.  The corporation is a WBENC (woman-owned) company founded by Bobbie J. Cox, CEO.   Meeting the needs of consumers has always been at the forefront for the company and the initial line of steel made Postal Vaults did just that.  In 1998, the company began manufacturing a line of steel made units that were designed to store weeks/months of mail under lock and key, thereby eliminating the need for consumers to have to stop and start their mail when they traveled, and/or having to inconvenience a neighbor or relative to pick up their mail when they are out of town.  However, with the growth of the internet, so came the growth of identity theft. Identity thieves no longer needed to go thru your garbage can to steel your information (hence the growth of the shredders), identity thieves now realized, they could just go to the mailbox and easily steal important documents, checks, credit card statements and pre-approved credit card offers and go straight to the internet as the internet made it easy for faceless transactions to occur. 

Recognizing that the company’s initial line of units needed to better address these issues, the company began exploring ways to not just have a better unit that prevented identity thieves from easily stealing your mail, but the company wanted to be the BEST in mailbox security and began to focus all of its resources to doing so.   As a result of their efforts, the company became the focus of the 2006, National Student Advertising Competition which is sponsored annually by the American Advertising Federation in Washington, DC that involves over 200 universities and over 6,500 senior level students.  Their challenge was twofold:  How would you BRAND a category (mailboxes) that has no recognizable brand name (i.e. Kleenex, Xerox, Duct Tape, etc.) and what do consumers want to see when they purchase a mailbox as it relates to looks, security and cost?  Upon completion of the competition, the company was now loaded with research studies and numerous creative ideas from the top creative minds in the country.  This allowed the company to seek out the top design company in the country-Cleveland, OH based Nottingham-Spirk.  Known for developing highly successful products that have generated over $30 billion at the retail level, Nottingham-Spirk was charged to develop a mailbox unlike anything ever seen in the mailbox industry. 

As a result of their efforts and based on the information from the company’s years of test marketing its steel made units, and the R & D conducted by hundreds of universities across the country, a new line of Postal Vaults were created.  These new units feature a highly decorative look to appeal to the female audience, a “vault-like” locking system, a modular design that allows for versatility and placement of the retrieval door and unique paneling system and a resin based material that classifies the company as a “green/environmentally-friendly” product that eliminates rust and corrosion (versus steel) and a long lasting durable finish.  As a result of this new design, the company became the focus of a national INNOVATION video ( see INNOVATION VIDEO on web site) produced by the Darden Graduate School of Business (a Division of the University of Virginia).  This video will be used as a curricular study guide for colleges and universities for years to come.  In addition, and due to its uniqueness and the innovation that went into the products design, the company was recently awarded a patent from the US Patent Office in Washington, DC.   The patent # US 7,988,035 B2 was issued on August 2, 2011.


Armed with its newly issued patent, the company has established manufacturing and distribution relationships with Ohio-based companies thereby creating jobs in the US versus overseas and allowing the company to have a “Made In The USA” label prominently featured on all models
