MTVAA
Mail Theft Victims Awareness Association (MTVAA) is a non-profit association that has been created specifically for those that have become victims of Identity Theft via mail. With 64% of Americans thinking that an "unlocked" mailbox is going to be the flash point for their lost identity and with almost one in three cases of identity theft being traced to the mailbox as the reason, MTVAA was formed to help spread the awareness of this crime (that can take upwards of 600 hours to recover, should you become a victim) as well as provide ways as to how to prevent it from happening to you.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please submit your story and email address by filling out the form below. So others may benefit by your experience by alerting others to this crime that often goes unnoticed and unpunished. Through your stories and efforts, MTVAA will be able to produce and collect information that can help prevent it from happening to others who think it will never happen to them.
